The land where imaginations are allowed to run as far and as wide as you like. Legoland Malaysia has everything you need for a perfect family, attractions here all have some type of Lego theming and there are plenty of opportunities to spend lots of time building different Lego structures. There are two separate theme parks, Legoland Water Park and main Legoland themepark. Depending on the ticket you purchase.
The main Legoland themepark is divided into 6 lands that offers rides, education activities and also shows. Each land features its on theme, look, feel and style.
And as for the Legoland Water Park, it’s the best way to cool down from all the heat at the Main Legoland. In this part of the themepark, there are water slides, a great toddler water play area, an older kid massive water playground, a wave pool, a lazy river ride (Build-A-Raft) and some fun things like a table to build your own boats and then race them. There’s a wave pool, where its also suited for kids, as the waves are too big, therefore bopping around the waves would be great idea.
Legoland is definitely a place targeted for both adults and kids, 2 days would be more than sufficient to enjoy the water theme park and also the main park.
Eight Acres, Raub, Pahang
Eight Acres is an eco-friendly country retreat in Raub, Pahang, nestled in greenery of real forest and palm oil plantations. Flora and fauna is visible in every corner of this amazingly landscaped retreat. This place is owned from a nature lover named Paul Kam. For many years, Mr Kam has always wanted to own a boutique lodge surrounded by nature and the chirps of birds. This unique retreat takes place between Bentong and Raub. Which is about 1.5hr drive from Kuala Lumpur. Not only is it surrounded by nature but also a lot of types of animals like chicken, pony’s and also goose. They roam the are freely without being fenced most of the time.
One of the interesting sights at Eight Acres. Since you will be walking in the middle of an oil palm plantation, do expect some mosquitoes. I would advise spraying on some mosquito repellent before going on the walking tour to avoid the discomfort of being bitten – especially during rainy season when there even more of them. A small waterfall called Cascada can be found on the right of the lodge. Which doubles as a natural fish spa. At this place you also have the opportunity to do fish feeding and lunch the fish you’ve caught! Some activities like table tennis and the pony ride are included in the price. For a fee you can try out archery or ride an ATV around the lake. Don’t forget to spend the evening outside at the rooftop terrace watching the stars, accompanied by the forest and waterfall sounds.
Bringing your kids and family to explore nature is definitely what you will get from this place. Eight Acres is suitable for those looking for a serene, comfortable stay in a rural setting but are happy without all the luxuries of city life.
