2.   Bar Zhen

If you like your cocktail with a twist, you should definitely visit this cozy speakeasy in Chinatown. They have an amazing selection of cocktails based on traditional Chinese medicinal herbs for you to enjoy amidst a classy yet sexy setting. The oriental theme is strong here as Old Shanghai prevalently greets you once you step through its doors. P.S. spot the bird mural in the alley of Jalan Panggung, and their entrance is just opposite the mural.

3.   PS150

Housed in a pre-war shoplot (rumor has it that it used to be a brothel), PS150 is located behind the famous Petaling Street Market area, masquerading as an old school toy store. At the entrance of the shop sits a display counter showcasing a collection of old toys. As the old toys bring out the inner child in you and lure you over, you’ll discover an unsuspecting door. Exploring further behind the door will lead you to the bar. The bar’s entrance is truly more than it meets the eye. The bar is well crafted with their very own “indie” cocktails. And the menu? Don’t be surprised if you were handed a primary school workbook, it’s their menu with various illustrations of their drinks inside. Dare to venture to the past?
